How to Find the Least Common Denominator (LCD)

Adding and subtracting fractions requires a common denominator. The Least Common Denominator (LCD) is the smallest number that is a multiple of both denominators — equal to the Least Common Multiple (LCM) of the two denominators.

Steps to find LCD:
1. List multiples of each denominator
2. Find the smallest number that appears in both lists
